San Francisco Bay

Spring 2019

From the end of April until midway May, this series of shots were taken overlooking various parts of the San Francisco Bay. Initially taking inspiration from Stephan Wilkes’ series of Day to Night time lapse shots, I set out to capture the many colors of the bay from the very early morning, sunrise, and finally, in daylight. After leaving Stockton at around 4 AM, I arrived in the bay just in time to capture my first set of shots on three separate days and attempted to keep my camera in the same position for the other two times captured. This series was first conceived as a final project for an introductory photography course, but has become something I plan on expanding on in the future.
